The link is so small that you wouldn't have click it unless you are someone close to me or you want to find out more about me. Both sounds good. :) When I am free I like to read or watch movies that tells me more about human civilizations. Most cultural histories interest me, but I am most fascinated by Chinese culture. I believe Chinese are noble ethnic groups, but in the last few hundred years, marginalized due to internal conflicts and loss of confidence. I am very motivated by recent years of growth and rethinking about Chinese own identity, but is also weary of continual westinization and its influence on younger generations. I do think confucianism is customed made for Chinese culture and also a balance against some obvious Chinese shortfalls. However, many western ideas counter Confucianism and sadly, many youths and intellectuals accepted them almost blindly. An example of a country that managed with Confucian ethics is Singapore, for those who are familiar with the country. Otherwise, I play World of Warcraft but mainly for research. I have toons both in US and Chinese server. One of them is Kowski, in the research guild - Terror Nova. My wife and I now live in Irvine, where I was doing my PhD. Photos Other sites: |
